Jasmine Rice/Orez Jasmine

jasmine rice

I love aromatic, long grained rice (basmati, jasmine) and I think it goes really well with Indian curry. I made Jasmine rice, but I followed a recipe for basmati rice, the only difference being in the amount of water used – for basmati rice you need to add 1.5 cups water for 1 cup rice. On the bag of my (Thai) Jasmine rice they said to use a ratio of 1/1.I made it using a rice cooker. I washed the rice, added water, salt, butter, a cinnamon stick, lemon zest, saffron and a few cardamon pods. I started the rice cooker, and when it was ready I let it covered for some time, then discarded the cinnamon and cardamon and mixed it.
